AFRIC Expert Report: Vision of the Future « Africa 2040 »

The Berlin Foresight "Africa 2040" sessions were organised by the Association of Free Research and Interational Cooperation (AFRIC). It was held on the 29th and 30th of July, 2019 at the Hilton Hotel, Berlin, Germany to provide the opportunity to discuss Africa’s political and economical emergence as the continent approaches 2040. The Foresight sessions gave the attendees made up of diplomats, journalists, policy maker, educators and expert professionals the platform to envision pragmatic scenarios that Africa could find itself, along with methods to achieve these goals. The outcomes of expert work were presented at the Russia-Africa Summit in Sochi on October 24, 2019.

THE INTERNATIONAL ELECTION MONITORING MISSION STATEMENT AND PRELIMINARY CONCLUSIONS OF MOZAMBIQUE ELECTIONS 2019

The Mozambican general elections were held on the 15th of October 2019 to elect the president, the national unicameral parliament (Assembly of the Republic) and members of the provincial assembly. These elections are held every five years.
The President of the Republic is elected by absolute majority vote. Presidential candidate needs a majority of valid votes casted to be elected. In the event that no candidate has been able to obtain more than 50% of the votes, a second round of elections is required to be held with the two strongest candidates going head to head.

Forum AFRIC vision 2040 – Session des prospectives sur la transformation de l’Afrique

Les 29 et 30 juillet 2019, l'Association pour la recherche libre et la coopération internationale (AFRIC) a tenu à Berlin la première session de prospective «Africa-2040: Vision de l'avenir». L’événement auquel ont assisté des diplomates, des universitaires et des hommes d’affaires avait pour objectif de définir une image claire de l’avenir de l’Afrique et d’établir une stratégie sur la manière dont ils peuvent contribuer au développement du continent africain. Les représentants et ambassadeurs du Tchad, du Sénégal, de la Côte d'Ivoire, du Cameroun, du Burkina Faso, de Madagaskar, du Botswana, de l'Afrique du Sud, du Bénin, de l'Égypte, de Maurice, du Maroc, du Niger, de la RDC, du Libéria, de l'Éthiopie, de la Namibie et de l'Ouganda ont abordé certains des problèmes le continent est confronté, offrant des solutions possibles pour promouvoir la paix, la stabilité, la démocratie, la gouvernance, la croissance économique et le développement.

AFRIC- Berlin foresight session on Africa’s transformation

On July 29-30, 2019 Association for Free Research and International Cooperation (AFRIC) has held the first of its kind Foresight session Äfrica-2040: Vision of the Future” in Berlin. The event attended by diplomats, academics and businessmen had an objective to define a clear image for Africa’s future and to strategize on how they can contribute to the development of the African Continent. Representatives and Ambassadors of Chad, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Madagaskar, Botswana, Republic of South Africa, Benin, Egypt, Mauritius, Morocco, Niger, DRC, Liberia, Ethiopia, Namibia, Uganda have discussed some of the challenges the continent is facing, providing possible solutions to promote peace, stability, democracy, governance, economic growth and development.
