Serving President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa has vowed to change the living conditions of South Africans in 2019, one the ruling African National Congress ANC party’s obligation to improve the locals.

Ramaphosa was speaking Monday in KwaZulu-Natal ahead of the ANC’s manifesto launch planned for Tuesday January 8 2019.

The head of state was quoted as saying “It may take us some time, but we will be able to deliver because we are the only organisation in the country committed to improving the lives of our people.”

Ramaphosa also used the same platform to call for unity in the ANC, adding that the only way the party can attain its objectives and meet the needs of South Africans is by staying together.

“It’s when we worked together that we were able to reach all the promises that we have delivered,” he said.

It is worth noting that January 8 marks the first post anti-apartheid party ANC’s 107th birthday.  Ahead of those celebrations, President Ramaphosa expressed confidence that the party would emerge victorious in the general elections slated for later this month.  However, a convenient date for the elections is yet to be fixed.
