Intended for “all citizens of the member states of the organization, regardless of their place of residence and any legal person legally established in a member state”, the contest is open until Tuesday, November 20, 2018.
The three best name and logo proposals will be awarded separately with checks ranging from $ 5,000 to $ 10,000. According to the organization, particular interest will have to be given by competitors to the main values of the community and particularly to its Vision 2020.
This call for proposals is part of the implementation of the ECOWAS Monetary Cooperation Program (PCMC) which provides for the creation in 2020 of a currency common to the area of 350 million inhabitants.
It also follows instructions from the 53rd session of the Conference of Heads of State and Government held in Lomé last July.
